Kaospilot · Aarhus, Denmark · since 1991
We teach people to lead through uncertainty.
Three years for the ones who start things. Three days for the ones who lead them. A school in Aarhus for people who would rather shape what comes next than wait for it.
It is a great thing to be a Kaospilot. You leave with a way of working, a network for life and the nerve to start before you feel ready.

What we train, whatever the program
Three days or three years, the same three muscles.
Ask the better question
Most problems arrive pre-framed. We train you to notice the frame, take it apart, and find the question that actually opens the room.
Act before you are certain
Certainty is a luxury the world rarely grants. You learn to prototype, test and move with incomplete information, without becoming reckless.
Learn out loud
You work in teams, show unfinished work, and give feedback that lands. Learning happens in the open, or it does not happen.
Programs
Kaospilot Education
Three years, full time. Real projects with real partners from the first semester, and a portfolio that speaks for you when you leave.
Professional Programs
Two days to three months. Leadership, facilitation and experience design for people who already work, in Aarhus and abroad.
Kaospilot Youth
Learning designed with young people, not for them. Programs and partnerships for schools, municipalities and youth organizations.
Learning Agency
Custom programs built with organizations that would rather change than wait. Starts with your problem, not our catalogue.
The Pilot Podcast
Conversations on enterprising leadership, recorded with people doing the work.
Why the school exists
The world does not need more people who can execute a plan. It needs people who can ask the better question, act before they are certain, and learn out loud.
We believe in action, dialogue, learning from mistakes, and the transformative power of community. That belief shapes how we teach: you work on real projects, with real stakes, alongside people who will disagree with you.
“This course fosters the engagement and sense of ownership in learning, and creates qualified happy people.”
Catherine Lippuner, ETH Sustainability, Zürich. Participant, Designing & Facilitating Learning Spaces.
How we teach
Four things you will notice in the first hour, whichever program you join.
Real projects, real stakes
No case studies from someone else’s company. You work on something that matters to you or to a partner organization, and the result is seen by people who care about it.
Teams before individuals
Almost everything happens in groups. You learn to lead by being led, to hold a process, and to disagree without losing each other.
Facilitators, not lecturers
Our staff design the space and hold it. They ask more than they tell. When they do teach, it is because the group needs it right now.
Reflection is part of the work
Every process ends with time to look at what happened and why. That habit is what keeps working long after the course is over.
